The foot pad or whatever they call it is the most uncomfortable design there could be. I am using these for the safety feature due to a recent riding incident, but they create such foot pain I don't know if I can withstand these for long.

I have only used mine once so far and I live them already! I like how the tread is wider than my old stirrups which makes it easier to pick them back up after dropping them, and the tread is nice and grippy and stays put on my boots wherever I want them, not not too grippy where it would make it harder to adjust them around your foot. I haven't fallen off with them yet (tho I probably just jinxed it by saying that!!) But the release arm worked well, the bolt was just a little loose when they arrived but I tightened it quickly with no problem.
